VSO Overview

VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) is an international charity founded in 1958, aimed at fighting poverty in developing countries. Initially focused on providing British school-leavers with volunteer teaching experiences, VSO has evolved to require volunteers to have qualifications and at least two years of experience. The average age of volunteers is now closer to 40, but VSO also offers programs for younger volunteers aged 18-25.
