Question Tags

Question tags are short phrases added to the end of a statement to check information or seek agreement. The pattern is: statement + question tag. For example, 'You’re coming to the party, aren’t you?' If the intonation rises, it indicates doubt; if it falls, it indicates the speaker expects agreement.
